An interior designer is inviting other interior designers, architects and skilled craftspeople to join a creative collective, with an event taking place in December at Brighton Pier.
House of Cybele is a group that celebrates and fosters the specialist talents and skills used to construct and enhance commercial and residential properties.
It was established when it became apparent to founder Jennifer Anderson Haysom there was a need for a dedicated space where builders, architects and craftspeople could exchange concepts, ignite inspiration, and collaborate on ventures.
The 3 December event features expert talks where guests will gain insight into the engineering, spectacle and colours that brought seaside piers to life. It will also showcase the work of two charities: United In Design delivers equal opportunity pathways into the interior design industry for people from black, Asian, ethnic minority, and socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and Heritage Crafts celebrates, supports, and safeguards traditional craft skills. Lunch and networking opportunities are also provided throughout the afternoon.
Anderson Haysom said: ‘It’s a huge privilege to be able to support the skilled industries that I feel so passionate about and have worked alongside all my working life. I believe House of Cybele’s unique and exclusive networking platform creates valuable connections and opportunities for many types of businesses, especially those skilled specialists who are perhaps accidentally forgotten about and at risk, and who need a place to grow strong partnerships.’
Tickets cost £65.
