Estimated to cost around £5.4 million ($8.18878), the scheme involves the construction of a two storied 8,600 square feet extension at each of three Redbridge schools, named as Chadwell Primary, Barley Lane Primary and Downshall Primary.

The extension will provide additional teaching accommodation to the schools, which will increase the intake capacity of the schools. The three classroom blocks will be constructed using a Structurally Insulated Panels (SIPs) system, to reduce the overall build programme and maximise the thermal efficiencies of the new structures.

The Lewisham Framework has been designed to allow neighbouring local authorities to utilise the vehicle as an efficient and cost effective procurement route for a broad spectrum of capital projects.

Each project will take 19-week time frame. The schemes are scheduled to start on site in April 2013 with completion in time in September 2013.
