The existing candle factory building has already been demolished. The new building will require an estimated budget of $1.8 million and will sprawl over an area of 10,000 square feet. It will feature certain design aspects, like translucent, backlit panels, inspired by the former Candle Factory as reported by the Community Impact Newspaper. The facility will also feature the Candle Café break room that will include photos and a few other items from the old Candle Factory.
J Jacobs is expected to occupy around 5,000 square feet of the building while the remaining 5000 square feet will be given out for lease to other commercial offices. Construction of the building, once it begins, is expected to be completed in around 4-5 months.
The second phase of the project calls for construction of a separate 20,000 square feet building with 10,000 square feet being taken up by Jimmy Jacobs Custom Homes’ office space while the remaining 10,000 square feet of lease space. Design work on the building could begin in 2012.
