The Copacabana light series include a standard, wall and pendant lamp. The diffusers used in these lighting designs are made of porcelain and are available in black, white or copper. Designed as inverted wine glasses, the lamps feature a glossy exterior. It is hung by means of a thin wire.
The Copacabana light series encompass both traditional and avant-garde styles, with the designs ranging from the neoclassical to the cutting-edge. The series was first presented at the Light+Building 2010 in Frankfurt, Germany.
Metalarte also unveiled pieces by other designers such as Mario Ruiz’s ultra-simple Eda table light, Itamar Burstein’s Tanuki pendant light and Paul and Christopher Massie’s Sentry lamp at the lightfair.
