The two-year renovation project entirely changed the look, the ambiance and the conditions at the stadium, which first opened in 1973 as Royals Stadium.

The facility now features a 37 feet wide concourse that circles the seats, and fans can hang out in the outfield plazas featuring bars, restaurants and the club’s Hall of Fame.

Seats are also placed in front of and behind the fountains in left-center and a standing-room area by the fountains in right-center.

The stadium features some upscale facilities, including nine Triple Crown Suites located behind home plate. The suites feature granite countertops, wood flooring, leather-wrapped cabinetry and other amenities.

There are 14 signature suites, seven on each side, that feature quartz countertops, tile flooring and a sliding-glass wall system that leads to Loge Level seats. These suites are two or three times larger than the old ones.

There are new premium areas, the Dugout Concourse seating behind each dugout. There are 1,600 seats on each side of the stadium.

Home of Kansas City Royals of the American League has been transformed into a free-form park in which fans are encouraged to participate in the show.
