Creating a state-of-the-art learning environment for 14 to 19-year-olds , the Black Country University Technical College campus will feature a brand new technical centre showcasing engineering, such as computer aided design, graphic design, robotics, CNC workshops, electronics and automation.
Providing the students the best experience and education, the science department will feature a high-tech lab modelled on a live research centre, which will allow the students to conduct experiments and investigations in a highly professional way, using top-of-the-range equipment.
The University Technical College will also feature a walkway named as Street, leading to all science and engineering departments and main subject rooms. The science area will feature garden areas, providing a relaxing option for students to study. Besides that the garden areas will also feature recreational areas, including the new five-a-side football pitch on the outside grounds for the students.
Among the newly-designed corridors, there will be a range of break-out centres and a Learning Resource Centre for effective study time. The other parts of the design include conference facilities, a cyber café, and a test track for trialling robotics and four wheel drive vehicles.
