Kiest Park has been transformed into the first public park QuickStart Tennis facility in Texas and the largest permanent QuickStart Tennis site in a public park in the US.

The eight 70-year-old asphalt courts at Kiest Park has been renovated into a QuickStart Tennis site, featuring 16 new post-tension concrete courts, complete with twelve 36 feet courts alongside four regulation-sized courts with 60 feet lines.

Initiated by the USTA, QuickStart Tennis is a new play format for learning tennis, designed to bring kids into the game by utilizing specialized equipment, shorter court dimensions and modified scoring, all tailored to age and size.

The USTA is the national governing body for the sport of tennis, and is the largest tennis organization in the world.

Dallas Park and Recreation Department, the US’ seventh largest municipal park system, features 374 parks that span 18,600 acres, 17 lakes including White Rock Lake, more than 200 athletic fields, and nearly 100 miles of urban trails.
