What’s so different about Liberon Kitchen & Bathroom Varnish?
Liberon Kitchen and Bathroom Varnish is a technically-advanced formula which is highly resistant to water and humid conditions, making it ideal for use in kitchens and bathrooms.
Does it have any special features?
Yes the varnish has added Teflon to give superb protection against stains, water and detergents. It is also resistant to very high temperatures and can withstand temperatures of up to 90°C and is ideal for use on food contact surfaces.
How is it applied?
Before using the varnish, stir well then apply two, or more coats if required, with a paint brush or spray gun (diluted with 10% water) to clean and dry wood. Allow the first coat to dry for 3 hours before sanding lightly with a fine grade sand paper (240) then remove all dust before applying further coats. Ideal conditions for application are between 12°C and 25°C when dry.
How safe is this product?
Kitchen and Bathroom varnish is a water based product and benefits from the European Eco-label, meaning that hazardous substances have been restricted and it has a very low VOC content at 0.5 g /L.
Anything else worth knowing?
It is important to allow all wood dyes to dry thoroughly before applying Natural Kitchen and Bathroom Varnish. Care must be taken on the application of the first coat of Kitchen and Bathroom Varnish when being used over Liberon Palette Wood Dye. Keep brush strokes to a minimum as over brushing may lift out the colour. Kitchen and Bathroom Varnish may be tinted with Liberon Palette Wood Dye but do not exceed a 20% dilution of Kitchen and Bathroom Varnish with Liberon Palette Wood Dye.
The varnish may raise the grain on some hard woods. Kitchen and Bathroom Varnish is not suitable for applying over an oil or solvent-based finish.
