Work includes construction of new guestrooms and suites, a revamp of the casino floor and lobby, and new restaurants and entertainment services. The facelift will provide a contemporary look to the building while maintaining its classic flavour. The renovated facility will be fitted with rich marble, new tile accents and contemporary fixtures including furniture, carpet and wall coverings. All these materials have been bought from the Fontainebleau resort after its construction was halted.
The hotel’s guestrooms and suites will receive a makeover and will now be adorned with various furnishings including English sycamore and walnut veneer furniture, leather desk chairs, chenille lounge chairs and linen loveseats. There will be plush bed linens as well as luxurious marble bathrooms in every room. All the rooms will also install in-room safes, 32-inch LCD flat-screen TVs along with private work spaces comprising wireless Internet service. The rooms will don soft neutrals and dark shades accentuated by presence of bright colours.
The hotel’s lobby will get a facelift too and will feature wood accents and crystal chandeliers. The upgraded lobby donning rich shades will also comprise black and white photography of Fremont Street and downtown.
There will be an all new casino floor post renovation work. The casino will provide numerous options in signature and classic gaming, dining and entertainment venues.
The facility is expected to open for guests by 1 September 2011 with a soft opening planned for 24 August 2011.
