The stadium project is jointly funded by Victoria and Latrobe City Council’s Department of Planning and Community Development.

The renovations will include, remodeling the entry to the center to provide more space and light, refurbishment of the group fitness room, and the provision of a public meeting space for sporting groups and other users of the facility.

Jamey Mullen, manager recreational livability, Latrobe City, said the new court will be built to meet national and international standards for all the sports which will be played on it, particularly basketball and netball.

Work at Latrobe Leisure Moe Newborough is expected to reach completion by mid 2009.
