LD Seating has supplied seating for two projects at MediaCityUK in Salford, delivering chairs for the 12th floor of Blue Tower and the 10th floor of Orange Tower.

The Orange Tower’s 1,530m2 office, created by Elgra and implemented by Consensus Workspace, features a layout that encourages collaboration, creativity and quick transitions between tasks. Sustainability was a key focus, with the reuse of glass partitions, sheer curtains and other existing elements. Flexi Chair bar stools support relaxed conversations in breakout areas, while Melody Meeting chairs provide ergonomic comfort in meeting rooms and boardrooms.

The Blue Tower project led by Zero Gravity Design and also delivered by Consensus Workspace, transforms the 12th floor into a contemporary workspace that accommodates quiet work, informal meetings and casual catch-ups.

A soft palette of mint, terracotta and powder pink, natural light and greenery create a calm and welcoming environment for a flexible, hybrid team. Flexi Chair bar stools and conference models were selected for the informal and shared areas, while Melody Meeting chairs complement the visual aesthetic of the meeting rooms and more private zones.

Both towers are located in MediaCityUK, a leading hub for creative, tech and broadcast industries, and home to the BBC, ITV, a university campus and various innovation centres.

‘The UK is a key market for the growth of the LD Seating brand. Our new showroom in London’s Clerkenwell and recent collaborations on projects like MediaCityUK demonstrate that our products have earned a strong position here,’ said Jakub Huráb, managing director of LD Seating.
