The Village School will be a two-storey building, which will be built to accommodate 235 pupils, along with staff. The new school building replaces the old school facilities with modern space for children.

The new school will accommodate music, dance and drama facilities; a fully-functioning sports hall and a specially-adapted swimming pool. The Village School campus will also include a new, specialist short break centre for families of children with disabilities.

The building will address all the issues related to non compliance with the environmental standards and high operating costs of the older facility. It will be built and operated in adherence to several environmental principles, based on which, it is being targeted to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating. Work is expected to complete in mid-2013.

The construction of the new school is supported by a grant of £21 million ($32.56 million) from the Brent Council and an additional £8 million ($12.40 million) of funding from the government to improve SEN provision in the locality.
