The $17 million project includes upgradation of the airport’s checked baggage inspection system (CBIS) in Terminals B and C. The inspection system would include baggage sorting and screening, facility master planning, engineering analysis, design and construction support services.

The project also covers the modification and replacement of outbound baggage systems in Terminals B and C, to accommodate the new CBIS requirements. The upgrades will eliminate current delivery of unscreened outbound baggage to manually fed explosives detection system equipment.
