Designed by five designers, 13 pieces were created, out of which six pieces were selected for further development. All these six pieces will be presented at the Decorex 2012 exhibition. The five designers who developed the furniture for the final presentation are: Carl Clerkin, Chris Eckersley, Gareth Neal, Amos Marchant and William Warren.
Saddle Rocker designed by Carl Clerkin is an informal rocking seat without a front or back. This piece does not conform to the traditional specifications of the current Lloyd Loom range and falls somewhere between a toy and a stool.
Spalding armchair designed by Chris Eckersley is a low tub chair with a loose cushion. Featuring a back/arms formed from a parabolic curve, it is a differently shaped Lloyd Loom chair.
Tomlinson armchairs designed by Gareth Neal features one simple and flowing component that adds glamour and grace to the lounge area.
The Reading’ High backed reading chair designed by Amos Marchant is a large enclosed private chair with a cuff of woven material around its top.
The LL stacking chair by William Warren is designed for commercial spaces such as café, restaurant or for domestic use as well. Warren also designed the Paper dining chair and bar stool, which feature concealed metal fixings to offer strength to a simple dowel structure. The archetypal curved chair back is presented in an innovative way.
