St. Ermin’s Hotel will unveil its completely redesigned vibrant room and suite accommodations. Strategically placed in London’s Westminster area on Caxton Street between Broadway and Buckingham Gate, the hotel is housed in a Grade II Listed Victorian building. The 275-room property is being relaunched as a four-star deluxe hotel by Amerimar Enterprises.
The restored horseshoe-shaped St Ermin’s will feature 331 rooms, including 80 in a new adjoining wing, which will be opened in September 2011. Besides 331 rooms, the hotel will feature 14 meeting and banqueting rooms; a striking ballroom; Caxton Grill; Caxton Bar; lounge and library; terrace; lush planted courtyard; Internet work station; and gym.
The spacious rooms are high-ceilinged and well-equipped. The hotel has 40 individually styled suites and 18 family rooms, with two Queen sized beds, an additional guest sofa bed and two full-sized bathrooms. Guest rooms are adorned with warm colour palettes of green, brown, purple and red.
The historic hotel’s original interiors by theatrical designer J P Briggs are being restored carefully. The interior has also received a modern new look by Los Angeles-based designer Dayna Lee. Dayna Lee, along with retaining its classic architecture, evocative Art Nouveau styling and Rococco plasterwork, has offered a modern and highly textural look and feel to St Ermin’s. The interiors are adorned with hand-picked antiques and collectables blended well with modern pieces.
The original courtyard garden has received reconstruction and is lushly replanted. The space is designed to provide a dramatic sense of arrival before entering the beautiful historic lobby. The lobby is distinct with sweeping staircases, balconies and large, open fireplaces.
