The renovation project has added purple and gold lights around the exterior of the stadium. The stadium features a new lighting system, which turns the upper archways of the north end of the stadium purple and gold and also lights the iconic LSU on the north scoreboard of the stadium.
The current phase of redevelopment also involves addition of a 10-feet-tall illuminated Tiger Stadium banner, which will be placed below the west upper deck, facing Nicholson Drive; a new portal gating system on the west side; and opening of the Scott Moran National Championship Plaza.
The first tranche of the renovation was completed in 2011 and involved replacement of more than 400 windows on the north side of the stadium. In the following phase, the development team has worked on the outer facade of the stadium. The facade has been fortified with a new coating.
