LuxLive 2012 will offer state-of-the-art sustainable lighting solutions for offices, retail, industry, warehousing, education, hospitality and the public sector. The event will showcase the latest in LEDs, smart controls, light sources and light fittings, offering both interior and external solutions from exhibitors ranging from Philips, Osram, GE, Thorn, Holophane and Toshiba.

The event will see the participation of over 140 exhibitors to offer an insight into some of the phenomenal technical advances taking place in the lighting industry. It will particularly focus on how lighting can be used to increase energy efficiency and improve sustainability, without compromising design.

In addition to the hundreds of products and services, LuxLive will also educate and inform visitors about the ground-breaking developments and technologies that are revolutionising lighting today through a comprehensive series of free-to-attend conferences, special features and live discussions.

The EcoLight conference provides a focus on low-carbon lighting aimed at helping those with large lighting estates in the retail, industrial, commercial and public sectors to transform their premises and slash energy bills. Each session will include a keynote speaker, demonstrations of best-practices and panel discussions.

The Tech Theatre offers a dedicated space for industry professionals to explore new technologies, the latest best practice and insights into upcoming standards and lighting know-how. It includes a range of keynote addresses and masterclasses from experts provided by partner organisations, including the Institution of Lighting Professionals, the Society of Light and Lighting and the International Association of Lighting Designers. A Dragons’ Den-style feature will see innovators pitch their products and ideas to a panel of critical experts.

Sessions within the Design Clinic Live will examine how projects can minimise energy use without compromising the illuminated environment. The LuxLive Forums will provide visitors an insight into key issues around lighting and energy in a series of roundtable discussions with a host of leading industry experts. Topics for debate will include issues around LED adoption, energy in retail and the barriers to lighting retrofits.

LuxLive 2012 will be held at the Earls Court in London from 6-7 November. The event was launched in 2011.
