Incorporating modern technologies and architectural specifications, the cancer care centre features bespoke design elements, which are used to achieve the highest BREEAM rating.

The centre features thin-film photovoltaic panels, which have been incorporated into a dramatic concave curved roof. The roof has been used as a shelter to a mezzanine level that leads out onto a flat landscaped roof for patient recreation. The concrete exposed frame and weathered steel panels of the centre have been surrounded by natural landscaping, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

In addition to that it features a partially enclosed courtyard, which leads into two wings of accommodation with counselling rooms, library, large living room, and kitchen area.

Mansell served as the general contractor for the project.
