Sprawling over 1.4-acre site, the new 56-unit Marietta Senior Apartment scheme contains 42 one-bedroom and 14 two-bedroom apartments. Presenting the rich architecture of the surrounding neighborhood, the Marietta Senior Apartments features a brick facade and large front porch.

Part of a larger initiative started by the county commissioners, 10 units in the building have been set aside for elderly residents who are homeless. The community also includes six apartments equipped for those needing accessibility.

Taking care of the sustainability elements, the Energy Star Commissioned building will feature a high efficiency heating and cooling system.

The apartment building offers on-site parking, a community room and a laundry. Apart from that all the apartments are accessible by wheelchair. Tabor Community Services will work with the residents on site.

Developed by the US-based affordable home builder Community Basics, Inc. (CBI), Marietta Senior Apartments is Community Basics’ 11th project that addresses the need for affordable housing. The senior apartment scheme was opened on 23 October 2012.
