The desk lamp comprises a secondary bulb which is tied to the shade and can be hooked onto the ropes, or can directly be hung inside the shade, or can even be used as a separate task lamp.
The new lamp is an incarnation of the Cau lamp exhibited in 2008 by Marti Guixe. The cable of the Sospensione lamp ties the diffuser hanging it, creating hook points to position the lighting component. The work light can thus be infused inside the reflector or hung externally to adjust the radiance of the environment through unusual gesture, creating a new relationship between the user and the light.
The desk lamp is tied to the hanging chassis and can be hung in different places. It has a diameter of 44cm and a height of 30cm, and is available in white and brown colored, aluminum finish.
The body of the lamp is split into two parts. The first part holds the torch as in the desk version, the other one anchors a second source which is fixed, and opens with a round aperture on the upper and lower sides to ensure a direct and indirect illumination. The sources are fluorescent, consuming low energy. One shoots the beam upward and downward with an optical device that concentrates direct light emission to gain a good quality illumination in the area right below and widens the indirect emission to ensure the illumination all around.
