The lamp had been designed 40 years ago, which had later become the symbol of a modern and functional design. The fortieth year of the lamp is being celebrated with the launch of its limited edition.
The Cobra is set into a sphere and the lamp is formed by rotating its head by 180 degrees. The snake’s rolling up or its unrolling to raise its head, is a dynamic movement that the lamp reproduces.
Originally the lamp had been produced in black and white polyurethane resin, and was available in colors like yellow and red resin later. Now Martinelli Luce offers Cobra in a limited autographed edition, made in black shiny resin.
