Designed by Foster + Partners, the project involved conversion of the former BBC Headquarters, Marconi House, into a full-fledged hotel. The renovation of the 1904 building has retained the original character of the pristine building while featuring various contemporary elements such as, interplay of light and space, defining the magnificent facilities and brand attributes.

The ME London Hotel will offer 157 guestrooms, including 16 suites; and a two-storey ME Suite that will be directly linked to the rooftop bar. The corner of the hotel has an elliptical tower, which marks the end-point for the Aldwych Crescent and serves as the main entrance at street level, and is covered by a dome-shaped glass canopy.

Inside, the hotel has an elegant pyramidal atrium, that follows the triangular floor pattern of the hotel, around which guestrooms are located. The interiors shows contrasting combination of light and dark, such as black marble in the hallways which is punctuated by white leather walls in the rooms.

The ME London Hotel will offer 700 square metre of flexible event and meeting space that can accommodate up to 300 guests. The gastronomic options at the new hotel will consist of STK restaurant, an American steakhouse concept especially designed for females, which will debut in the Europe for the first time; Asellina Italian restaurant; Marconi Bar in the lobby; Radio bar, the rooftop terrace bar with panoramic views of Aldwych; and the Strand.

The hotel will be the fifth hotel for ME by Meliá brand, the most avant-garde of the hotel brands operated by Meliá Hotels International.
