The $1.5 million expansion project is now under consideration of Ann Arbor Planning Commission, and if approved, construction will start by mid-2010.

The project is designed to double the school’s size which measures 10,000 square feet currently. The school now serves 204 students.

Under the project, the school will get an additional 10,000 square feet, three-story building. The new complex will be designed to house eight classrooms and a cafeteria. The current school contains eight classrooms, and does not have a cafeteria. The school has to use a temporary trailer to accommodate its growth in the current situation. The expansion project is expected to reach completion in nine months.
