Developed by English Cities Fund (ECf) in a joint venture between Muse Developments, Legal and General Property and the Homes and Communities Agency, the Millbay regeneration project will create a new residential and cultural quarter in Plymouth.

Complementing and enhancing the wider city landscape and foreshore, the Millbay regeneration project is a mixed-use scheme featuring residential, leisure, business and retail opportunities.

It includes the residential scheme named as Cargo 2, which will overlook the new 171-berth King Point Marina, which is currently being built by Sutton Harbour Holdings within Millbay’s inner harbour. Upon completion Cargo 2 will feature 48 high quality apartments and townhouses.

Apart from that the regeneration scheme includes 102 homes on East Quay due for completion in late 2014. The scheme will also include brand new Plymouth School of Creative Arts campus.

Millbay regeneration project remains one of the top two regeneration projects underway in Devon and Cornwall and is among the top three schemes South West of Bristol.

The seventh annual Top 100 Regeneration Projects study was published by Planning Magazine in association with Regeneration and Renewal.
