Pursuant to the contract, the company will develop two students accommodation block on Carmelite Street for the York St John University, and Jarratt Hall for the University of Birmingham.

The York St John University residential project is valued at £12 million ($19 million) and involves development of a 258-bed student accommodation, which will be developed on behalf of S. Harrison Developments. The scheme will be developed on Carmelite Street in York.

Work on the scheme commenced in July 2012 and is slated for completion in June 2013. The new accommodation will be car-free, with students living within easy walking distance of all the city’s amenities. The new build will mirror the Gray’s Wharf and Percy’s Lane accommodation. The scheme will adhere to the requirements of quality and environmental standards based on which it is anticipated to achieve a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating.

The project at the University of Birmingham involves an extension of the university’s existing Jarratt Hall by 120-beds. Pursuant to the contract, the company will also build a new facility to accommodate new beds. The Jarratt Hall building is set to be completed in September 2013, and is expected to achieve a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating.
