Phase 1 of the city’s park project will be spread over 130 acres of land at the site of the current Blue Ash Airport. Phase I will provide amenities such as, a 7, 000 square feet multi-purpose pavilion, a 10, 000 square feet open-air, glass canopy covered gathering space overlooking a great lawn, a restaurant and a seven-storey observation tower. Trail construction is expected to begin in late 2012.

The city of Blue Ash sent out Requests for Qualifications to solicit informal quotations for the project’s first phase. It received responses from six firms and chose MSA Architects. Future phases, subject to funding, could include a performing arts centre, driving range, dog park, and children’s and natural playgrounds, reports Business Courier.

MSA also renovated the city’s $12.8 million expansion and renovation of the Blue Ash Recreation Center between 2007 and 2009.
