The new 1,100-seated stadium features 120 chair back seats, a new press box and backstops. The Secchia stadium also comprises a seating system to facilitate access for disabled people featuring brick accents in line with the façade of historic Jenison Field House.

Home and visiting dugouts have been built in-ground with each dug-out consisting of an added restroom at its end. The stadium also includes a new indoor hitting and pitching facility.

Construction at the stadium began in 2010. The project has received contributions of $1 million from MSU graduates Peter Secchia and his wife, Joan which led to the stadium’s name.
