Forming a part of Doncaster’s £300 million ($482 million) Civic and Cultural Quarter (CCQ) development, the new civic office space includes flexible office space for about 1,600 council employees, a Council Chamber and a convenient one-stop-shop for public services.

The new building will enable the council to merge many of its town centre services and teams under one roof. The phase I of the CCQ will also include a new performance venue, Sir Nigel Gresley Square, upgraded road networks which help reconnect Waterdale with the town centre and a refurbished 850-space Civic Quarter car park. The new customer service centre will open in early 2013.

Including sustainable elements in its design, the new office building is aspired to achieve the BREEAM Excellent rating.
