Native Trails’ Maestro lavatory sinks are made from a heavy 15-gauge copper which is known for their texture and shine. The sink range now incorporates recycled copper that is melted down and then rolled into sheets. The material then endures some 30,000 strikes of the hammer over several days before a finished basin is made, with no two alike. The new Maestro Collection is available in three distinctive finishes, including Antique, Tempered and Brushed Nickel.
Featuring copper in its most pure form, Native Trails’ Antique finish can be described as hearty and robust. The rich, dark surface provides a handsome option for the bath, which complements a range of woods as well as other metals.
The Tempered sink surface integrates a complex heating and cooling process that shows the mottling effect on the surface with coloration splashes punctuating each piece. The Tempered finish is lighter in colour and feel, which can be paired with light and dark woods as well as classic and antique-style furnishings.
The Brushed Nickel finish is achieved by plating nickel over copper followed by careful hand-brushing. With its silver tone, Brushed Nickel is designed to brighten any room. This versatile finish can be paired with ultra-contemporary fixtures and furnishings as well as old-world and turn-of-the-century pieces.
Maestro basins are designed for the bath with nine vessel and drop-in styles available. As with all Native Trails’ sinks, the Maestro Collection aims at complementing the brand’s range of sustainable bathroom vanities, made from re-purposed barn wood and fencing, salvaged materials from nearby wineries, or 100% Moso Bamboo, in the recently unveiled Renewal Series.
One of nature’s most anti-bacterial metals, copper is optimal for the bathroom. Native Trails copper surfaces do not feature a lacquer or seal to its copper surface, which allows the product to respond and react naturally to its environment. Easy to maintain, copper can be kept clean with soap and water; and harsh abrasives. Unlike stainless steel or polished copper, hand-hammered copper surfaces from Native Trails do not show finger prints. The sinks are made by skilled artisans and feature 100% recycled copper content in their design and composition.
