The assortment of furniture is scheduled to be launched in October 2009 in High Point Market and will be available in stores by next year.
According to the license agreement, the line of products will feature a line of wood, metal, upholstered and ready-to-assemble furniture for the living room, dining room and bedroom.
Michael Foster, president of Starmount, revealed that the Nautica Collection will comprise two lifestyle groups – one with 96 wood, and another with 40 upholstery SKUs.
The line is divided into two groups, the Henderson, and the Governors Island. Henderson straight-lined casual contemporary line of furniture features a soft finish, while the Governors Island is a sporty, elegant, yacht type bearing reference to the nautical design.
Upholstered furniture line of the collection will be manufactured in Valdese, North Carolina, while case goods will be produced in Hainan Island in China.
A line of six private label solid wood collections are scheduled to be launched in October.
