The scope of the project involves construction and refurbishment of 55,000 square meters of office, retail and residential space. The new buildings will be designed to seamlessly mix with the existing building to create an attractive urban structure.

The company will build approximately 40,000 square metres as new build space, which will be used as offices and retail space. Approximately 8,000 square meters of the development will be renovated space in the existing buildings, and about 7,000 square meters of space will be new residential space in the area. The project will be completed in multiple phases.

The project also includes renovation of the existing buildings on the site. The renovation part of the development involves refurbishing three existing industrial brick buildings into offices and service space. The phase I of the project involves renovation of a 5,300 square metres, 1898-built building. The refurbishment is scheduled for completion by the end of April 2014.

The project will incorporate a host of sustainable elements to achieve BREEAM Very Good rating for all of the Vallila buildings, including the refurbished buildings.
