The project requires construction of a two-storey building, which will have a total area of 9500 square meters. In addition, the building will also have 4000 square meters of dedicated parking space. The project is targeted for BREEAM Excellent rating.
The office space is targeted to achieve energy classification of “A” and will also meet all the requirements of a passive building. The building will have several green elements, including energy wells with heat pumps and solar panels on the roof. For construction, NCC will use thermally inert material, which will bring about a significant saving on energy consumption required for for heating and cooling the building.
NCC has designed the project using Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) process, which uses 3D models to visualize, integrate and automate the various components of a project, such as project engineering, costing, production scheduling and purchasing. NCC plans to complete the project in October 2013.
