Replacing the former Winn-Dixie store, the new 34,244 square feet Walmart Neighborhood Market will open in Sarasota to provide convenient shopping space for groceries, pharmacy items and general merchandise to the customer.
Unlike the old Walmart store, the new store will stock groceries along with health and beauty products, pet food and supplies and hardware items. It will also feature a pharmacy.
The shop will feature a Grab-and-Go section with rotisserie chicken, fresh-baked pizza and standard deli sides. In addition to the fresh produce, bakery and deli items, the store will stock frozen foods, meat and dairy products, and organic items. The store will also feature a digital photo printer for the customers to print their own digital photos.
The new Walmart grocery shop opened on 19 September 2012.
