The development project will include a new health and rehabilitation centre to provide memory care services. It will offer a more “home-like” feeling to the nursing care facilities as compared to “institutional” feeling.
Spanning more than 100,000 square feet, the semi-private rooms of the centre will be converted into private quarters. Each building will be divided into “neighborhoods,” with living and dining sections in each one.
The project is part of Alexian Village’s master plan. Construction for the project will take two years to complete and is expected to provide jobs to 575 people.
