Designed by award-winning designer Lynne Rushen, the enhancement program of The Mostyn Hotel not only created impactful plant displays to enhance the facade and interior of the hotel but also offered scenting to create a welcoming aura for guests.

The exterior of the hotel has been marked with 20 black polished troughs planted with seasonal schemes which adorned railings and windowsills. The lower trough has been matched with similar planting at the windows and balconies above. The grand looking entrance has been created by two sculptural box plants in black polished planters. These same planters are kept in the balconies, which gives them a modern, yet formal look.

Orchids displayed in black and silver bowls gives an elegant look without the hassle of changing flowers everyday. Within the planting in the lounge area, sleek, contemporary styling is offset by silver, mirror cubes. Natural perfume is spread throughout the lounge and bar area through a hidden scenting unit above the reception desk.

The work undertaken by Ambius also played a key role in the rebranding of Mostyn as a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel on 24 October 2012.

Ambius is a division of Rentokil Initial plc., and is the world’s largest provider of plants, replica foliage and flowers for commercial ambience. It also offers a wide range of products and services including ambient scenting, and artwork.
