Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa by Anantara has opened recently and was ‘Highly Commended’ for the ‘Best New Hotel Construction & Design in Abu Dhabi’ award. Designed by Northpoint Architects from South Africa and interior designers AK Design in Dubai, Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa features 222 rooms and suites and is located on the 1.2 km stretch of Abu Dhabi’s protected mangroves reserves. The hotel’s architectural style is modern and draws inspiration from Arabic design. The space features Arabic style arches, mushrabiyas and timber trellises with views of the surroundings through thoughtfully placed windows.
