Tefal is a French cookware and small appliance manufacturer owned by Groupe SEB – French consortium that produces small appliances.
The ‘Enjoy’ range of kitchen utensils are designed using an allocated volume of recycled PET, and is aimed at the mass market. According to Bergne, the founder of the design consultancy, the firm has given specific grammages of materials for each utensil in response to the brief.
The new range of kitchen utensils is designed to be eco-friendly and will be sold for around GBP2 ($3.1 approx) per item in the UK.
The firm has started working on the project a year ago, and has worked for Tefal for a number of years. Primarily the Enjoy kitchen utensil range will be launched in UK, and will be on display at ‘In Progress’ – an exhibition which opens on May 7, 2010 in Belgium.
