Renovations include replacing the heating, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical fixtures in the community club. Also, a section of the club that was assessed as unsound will be demolished and a new, larger addition will be built. This project will provide the community with more space for the recreational activities that are held in the community club like the dance and sports programs.
Funding of $237,000 is provided through the Recreational Infrastructure Canada program as part of Canada’s Economic Action Plan.
Projects like this one in the Rural Municipality of Springfield are helping to build the recreational infrastructure across the country, encouraging physical activity and community participation.
