Caroma, the Australian sanitary ware manufacturer, is a subsidiary of GWA International, the Australian provider of bathroom fixtures and fittings.
The program offers customers the opportunity to upgrade their old single flush toilet suite with a new 4-star WELS rated dual flush Caroma or Stylus toilet suite at a significantly reduced price via a rebate. A water efficient showerhead and flow control valve can also be fitted to help further reduce household water consumption.
Single flush toilet suites are one of the biggest users of water inside the home and if replaced with a 4.5/3 liter Caroma Smartflush suite, can save the average household up to 35,000 liters of water every year. The program is designed to assist homeowners save water.
According to David Oliver, state manager, Caroma Dorf, “There are approximately 440,000 single flush toilets in the Melbourne area. Replacement of these inefficient toilets with water-saving 4.5/3L dual-flush models could help save up to 15 giga litres of water every year.”
In 1982, Caroma introduced the world’s first dual flush toilet – a leading innovation which has been adopted around the globe.
