The new building accommodates the administration, engineering, and operations and maintenance divisions in one campus, which provides a convenient location and better customer service to the water and sewer users of Cheyenne.
In keeping with the environmental goals of BOPU, SEH has incorporated many sustainable design elements in the building, like the inclusion of a space to accommodate 12 different departments, complete with a multi-purpose room, break room, individual meeting rooms, and plenty of storage for future growth.
Other sustainable features included in the building are the incorporation of recirculating water system, motion-controlled lighting, low-e glazing, high efficiency plumbing fixtures, and the use of green building materials during the construction of the building.
The open house for the building was conducted on 29 September 2012.
