Designed by HKS Incorporated, the new healthcare pavilion for children will be built between 10th and 11th streets on East Broad Street. Poised to be the most advanced pediatric facility in the region, the new facility will be 245,000 square feet, which will offer diagnostic and treatment services for children.

The building will incorporate four levels of pediatric care clinics consisting of six specialty clinic pods, each with 12 exam rooms, a treatment room, support spaces and nurse work core. The new pavilion will also house pediatric-dedicated imaging, surgical and endoscopy procedure rooms, hematology/oncology and pediatric faculty offices.

The new facility will also accommodate space for education and clinical research studies. It will feature seven level, 330,400 square feet, sub-cellar parking. The project is being aspired for LEED Silver certification and will also offer scope for potential expansion, which will include a seven-storey, 280,000-square-feet vertical addition of six clinic floors.

The Children’s pavilion is scheduled to complete in 2015.
