The museum will be designed by a team of architects from Wilkinson Eyre Architects, Pringle Brandon and Land Design Studio, in collaboration with Gifford. The design will reunite the hull of the ship with many artifacts unseen for several hundred years. The hull of the ship, around which the new museum will be built, will be closed to public later this year.
The project is scheduled to be completed in 2016.
