The 10,000-capacity football stadium received the award in the category of ‘Community Benefit’ and was also acclaimed as the overall Project of the Year.
The stadium is used for community events and corporate hospitality as well as for hosting games.
The site features more than 600 parking spaces, and two synthetic surface football pitches for use by the Colchester United Community Sports Trust. The complex encompasses a variety of sporting, leisure and business facilities, including hospitality suites.
The stadium offers a wide range of exclusive conferencing facilities. All the facilities feature natural daylight, wireless and broadband Internet, air conditioning and wheelchair access. The facility also features 20 syndicate rooms.
The stadium also offers banqueting and dining facilities. The Centennial Suite is the largest hospitality lounge in Colchester. The Centennial Suite can be used for parties, conferences, training days or a host of other activities. It can be transformed from one huge banqueting suite to three smaller suites catering for 160, 160 and 80 respectively.
