The scheme is a 44-storied luxury apartment tower, which is located within the green setting of United Nations Plaza. Featuring 87 apartments with expansive interior layouts, the residences will range in size from one-bedroom apartments up to 1,100 square feet, two bedrooms from 1,600 to more than 2,600 square feet of space, three bedrooms from 3,000 square feet, and full-floor homes of approximately 6,000 square feet, as well as a two-floor penthouse with close to 10,000 square feet of space featuring a rooftop infinity pool. Ceiling heights for all residences range from 10 feet up to 16 feet.

It also features a private motor court and garden, which leads the discreet lobby, and a residents-only garage with 87 parking spaces – one for each residence. In addition, there will be approximately 5,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space on First Avenue.

Presenting architectural expertise, the building features three slender volumes, which appear faceted in elevation, visually reducing the building’s scale, while emphasising its vertical form. To maximise views and broaden the elegant living spaces within, each volume includes a series of deep bay windows.

Unified by a delicate horizontal grid of stainless steel bands, the bay windows complement the New York Art Deco style of nearby buildings. The tower features high reflective panels, which enhances its beauty by running vertically between each of the bays.

The tower exhibits a greener look surrounded by lush planting. Inside, the spacious lobby in warm colour palette is complemented by granite, marble, wood and an open fire to the rear of a full-height water feature that divides the space.

In addition to that every apartment has been designed with floor-to-ceiling bay windows and features luxurious interiors with generous space for entertaining. It also includes a spa in the basement with large exercise pool for residents.

Developed by Zeckendorf Development in collaboration with Global Holdings, the 50 United Nations Plaza is scheduled to be completed in the later part of 2014.
