Combining free form nature of abstract expressionism and folk art, the design of the Laddie Chest reintroduces neoclassicism. It features three full extension drawers with antique nickel pulls, an inset top, and square tapered legs shaping the silhouette.
In order to provide a new look, the chest features traditional Arabesque pattern in black under the supervision of Mocksville NC painter Reneé Hoke. Hoke has used unconventional tools like Q-tips and wadded up newspapers to capture the romance of antiquity.
Featuring forwarded white Arabesque lines along with layers of various greys, the chest creates textural 3D shadows. Designed to provide a visual treat, each piece of Laddie Chest is produced within 8 to 10 weeks.
