The net-zero energy facility generates its own power, which generates more energy than required to run the facility. The building demonstrates highest level of sustainable development in a commercial office building, based on which it is being targeted for the LEED Platinum certification. The company anticipates receiving 95 LEED points for the development, which is 15 points more than the required points for Platinum certification.
Spanning 50,000 square feet, the building has a frame of wood and steel. The two-storey office space has been constructed using a diverse range of exterior elements, consisting of aluminum, glazing, copper panels, stone, stone veneer and wood siding. All the materials have been carefully overlaid, which offers superior thermal insulation.
Energy efficiency is further translated by use of energy-efficient mechanical and electrical systems. The roof of the building has photovoltaic panels, which contributes towards net-zero energy goal of the office.
The aesthetically pleasing office has been developed at the site of six existing structures. DPR has prevented 98% of the construction waste from entering the landfills. The design of the building assist it to blend with the natural surrounding of the place.
