de Sede showcased its handcrafted high-quality upholstery which combined sensuous designs with high functionality. In addition to Gordon Guillamier, new designers including Angie Anakis, Werner Aisslinger, Christian Werner and Maniatis Kirn collaborated with de Sede on this latest collection which resulted in eight individual pieces.
The DS-144 lounge chair from Werner Aisslinger was earlier exhibited at the imm cologne trade fair in January 2013. At the Milan trade fair, de Sede introduced the first addition to this series: the DS-143 chair. The piece works elegantly in a conference room or dining room without compromising the philosophy of serving as both seating and sculpture at the same time.
The DS-904 sofa from Maniatis Kirn combines functionality and sophisticated creativity. Individual components such as the arms and backrests can be rotated in a playful way by 90 degrees to allow four new sitting options for several people without diminishing the sofa’s charm and sensuousness. This sofa lounge adapts to individual rooms and meets every possible use in daily life. Just a few hand movements can create a totally new piece of furniture.
Leather is one of de Sede’s trademarks. de Sede has now combined its expertise in leather refined over the years with exquisite fabrics which seamlessly complement the high-quality creations. To accomplish this, de Sede collaborated with manufacturers from Italy and Switzerland.
The sophisticated blend with designer leather furniture from de Sede results in an aesthetic unity which underscores the sensuousness and authenticity of both materials. In terms of colour, matching combinations and exciting accents are possible for an innovative and stylish appearance.
The stand at the Milan furniture trade fair was rounded off with moving photographs covering the 40-year history of the Swiss company. The products were presented at Pavillon 5, Stand C03/C07.
