The makeover involves complete redesign of the stores’ layout. The new design is transparent in character, featuring open kitchens which showcases the pizza-making process in the open. Customers can watch employees hand-stretching the dough and applying toppings behind a glass display.

The redesign also allows customers to write comments in colourful chalk on a chalkboard covering a large wall. The entire layout has been made more spacious to allow a dozen or so customers to sit and eat pizzas in the restaurant.

As part of the redesign, Seattle stores will feature a refrigerated section for grab-and-go items like salads and milk, while walls in an Ann Arbor store will have a look similar to the graphic designs on boxes of Domino’s pan pizza.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Domino’s is planning to redo the 74 franchise locations in the greater Seattle area by the middle of 2013.
