DIBS, to be held from March 3-7, 2009 at the Dubai International Marine Club, is now in its 17th edition. It’s a global marine industry exhibition that displays boats, marine equipment and supplies to trade buyers and private consumers.

Finland-based Nautor’s Swan will showcase their products at Stand A4 in the Luxury Supplies & Services area in addition to Stand 173 at the Marina, where ClubSwan 42 will be on display.

Part of Swanline’s low-end range, the ClubSwan 42 is a one-design, light-weight racing yacht. Meeting the NYYC OD Committee’s requirements, the racer/cruiser has an airy and bright interior and a retractable bow sprit that helps manage downwind sail inventory. The yacht offers a selection of two interior layouts along with various options.

Suitable for operation in all types of waters, the Swanline range includes its flagship Swan 100 product as well as Swan 66, Swan 90 and the latest Swan 80 model, which represents Nautor’s unique designs and heritage.

Swan 66 with carbon fiber sandwich construction can be personalized according to the owner’s needs for racing or cruising purposes. Available in FD (Flying Dutchman) and S versions, it features teak contemporary and functional interiors, light and stiff hull, L-shaped stringers and swept-back spreaders.

Swan 90 in cruising mode can be operated by two or three people as it features hydraulic head sail furling sail, hydraulic winches and push buttons.

Designed for the perceptive yachtsman, the Swan 53 and Swan 60 offer mid-range options. Swan 53 with contemporary styling features an expansive interior, easy sail handling and a dagger board option for shallow draft.

Designed for offshore racing and cruising, the Swan 60 with high-volume interior includes a big cockpit, a new hull produced from advanced materials, direct steering system and low drag, keel and rudder.

ClubSwan 42 is part of a long-standing proposal to create in Dubai a global sailing academy that offers corporate hospitality and team-building and sail-training.
