The renovations will double the retail space of Duty Free to 3,000 square meters which will be split between departures and arrivals stores, and will be 100% walk-through stores.

Diego Arrosa, CEO of Duty Free Uruguay, wants to maximize revenues and bring new brands in multiple categories, especially fashion, accessories, and luggage. In this regard, the company is in talks with brands to explore ideas for developing dedicated areas.

The $134 million construction project has been ongoing since February 2007.
